Equine Therapy
Facilitate change and growth through movement, touch, and relationship building with horses
About Equine Therapy
A trained equine assisted psychotherapist and equine specialist (ES) partner with horses and clients to help facilitate change and growth through movement, touch, and relationship building.
Experiential learning in the arena helps clients learn new skills and apply them to their life which can be powerful for building self-esteem, trust, confidence, leadership, and communication in a safe and often less threatening outdoor environment.
Clients learn to manage their emotions and increase self-control and self-awareness by interacting with and caring for horses. The relationships that are created generate an environment where clients of all ages learn to take risks and try something new in a safe setting with a non-judgmental horse by their side.
